A teenager has been remanded in custody following a robbery at a shop on Canon Row in Navan last weekend
He entered the shop late last Saturday morning at around 11.40am and demanded staff hand over a quantity of cash before fleeing the scene on foot.
Gardaí investigating the incident later found a man matching the description of the suspect in the Commons Road area on Sunday afternoon.
He was arrested and taken to Navan Garda Station for questioning while a knife was also found.
The 18-year-old was charged and subsequently appeared before Trim District Court where he was remanded in custody.
