Dumpers dropped a supply of bed linen in a lay by, close to a family friendly park, between Slane and Collon over the weekend.

The assortment of clothing was off loaded at the Hungry Hall park site.

In a statement, Gerard Weldon of the Broomfield Residents Association, expressed his frustration at the event,”Just a week after a tree was planted in memory of deceased community members, some unscrupulous person dumped bed clothing there. This behaviour shows utter contempt for our community, and we condemn it without reservation,”

“The Park is looking very well and, and it was terrible to discover this latest dumping incident. We are hoping to achieve a Green Flag for our park in the future, and we don’t see that kind of carry on” he pointed out.

“We cleaned it up ourselves, as it tends to attract further dumping.”
