Between 8.30am and 9am on Saturday morning last, March 4th, Gardaí attached to the Ashbourne and Navan Districts were notified of a silver Nissan Micra travelling on the M3 Northbound. They were informed that this vehicle had been stolen earlier that morning from an address in Dublin and had failed to stop for a Dublin Roads Policing Unit.
At Junction 9, it re-entered the M3 in the wrong lane. This vehicle then u-turned towards Dublin where it then exited the M3 at J7 and re-entered in the wrong direction in the northbound lane where it was subsequently abandoned.
After a short foot chase, 4 juveniles were arrested and conveyed to Ashbourne and Trim Garda Stations. They were released pending files to the NJLO.
