A woman was left shaken after she was caught up in an incident involving boy racers at Dunboyne railway station last weekend.

Speaking to Meath Live, the woman, who did not want to be named, said, ‘I was in the station on my way home from a night out and a few of them involved with the cars approached me.

‘The first thing I noticed was there was a strong smell of alcohol from them, and the noise from the cars, which were doing doughnuts only added to my concerns.

‘I felt they were all staring at me and was that fearful I called Dunboyne Garda station but they had no car available to send out at that time. To be honest I was very scared especially when the guards told me they couldn’t help.’
