GardaĆ­ have renewed their appeal for information following a hit-and-run incident in Co. Meath over the Easter bank holiday weekend.

A pedestrian was struck by a car in the Frederick Street area of Ashbourne at around 1am on Easter Monday and the vehicle failed to remain at the scene.

The woman in her 50s was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown with serious injuries.

Two men, both aged in their 20s, were subsequently arrested but released without charge with a file to be prepared for the DPP.
