Applegreen has secured planning permission to build a service area and an electrical vehicle charging hub off the M3 motorway in Co. Meath.
The development will include 36 EV charging stations, a shop and two food outlets including seating for 166 customers on a site near J6 Dunshaughlin.
Despite an objection from rival operator Circle K, the council granted the application but attached 26 conditions to the application.
