The discovery of mutilated pig carcasses on Emlagh bog has disgusted locals and an angry Fianna Fáil councillor has hit out at those who done it.
Councillor Paul McCabe told Meath Live, “For the third time in past number of months, discarded animal carcasses have been dumped on Emlagh Bog, near Carlanstown.
“On Friday, a local lady made the grizzly discovery of two mutilated pigs. Some months ago dismembered sheep carcasses were dumped, and last year the carcass of a deer was discovered.
“The matter is being investigated by the Environment Department of Meath County Council, please get in touch if you have any information which will be treated with confidentiality”, he concluded.
