Erika Casanova, Aine Lynch and Leah Monerawela are 2005 leaving cert graduates of Loreto Secondary School Navan. Conor Barrett graduated from St. Patrick’s Classical school in the same year. They all headed on to third level education in Dublin and beyond to pursue their future opportunities.
As chance would have it their life and careers has taken them all to the bustling city of Toronto. These four school friends meet regularly in different spots around the city to experience a little taste of home with each other.
Sharing stories and memories of their home town and county when they meet always takes them back home for a little while. They all have stories to rekindle with fond memories of growing up in Navan when they enjoyed their youth.
Erika, Conor & Leah have put down strong roots in Canada now as they all have their own Canadian children. They work in a range of exciting fields including financing, fire services, engineering and real estate.
Aine will be moving on to New York in September to further advance her medical career having worked in Sick Kids in Toronto.
Last week they met up in the historic Distillery district in Toronto, where many Irish people settled, lived and work since the mid 1800’s. Their lives move on but their friendships are life long.
Toronto’s gain is Navan’s loss.
