Chris and Rose Murray from Bohermeen are seeking an injunction to prevent their home being demolished.
The independent.ie website reports that the couple who have been involved in a long running saga with Meath County Council after they built a dormer bungalow in 2006 despite being refused planning permission are seeking the injunction as they believe they have uncovered new evidence in relation to the case.
The couples barrister, John Kennedy SC said new evidence has come to light regarding the councils previous decision to refuse planning permission to the couple, and this evidence centred around a section 47 order in respect of the lands where the house hand been built.
A section 47 order restricts any development on lands.
The current episode of their case is before Judge Dignam in the High Court with a decision anticipated later this year.
