As exclusively revealed by Meath Live, Trim councillor, Noel French is on the verge of quitting Fine Gael.
He posted on Facebook today,
‘You give your all to an organisation or party and then you try to be fair to them and give them plenty of advance notice of your possible departure and then you think it is important to them too and they tell you we will meet you in four weeks (soonest they can do!!) and then two days before they say well we hope the general secretary will join us as well for the meeting. Maybe I should hear what they are saying. I can only be true to myself. I will miss some decent people but not others and it is a scary thing to be going out on my own, if I am brave enough to do that.’
Speaking to Meath Live this afternoon the consistently high poller said, ‘ Out of courtesy I will meet with Fine Gael and hear what they have to say, we’ll all know more by Friday.’
