Seneschalstown GFC and the wider GAA community is mourning the passing on Thursday of Joe O’Brien.

Highly regarded as a player Joe continued his involvement after he retired from playing and began a second career as a well respected referee.

 

His death notice on rip.ie is as follows.

Joe O’Brien, peacefully, in the loving care of the nurses, doctor and palliative care team at The Mater Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

 

Beloved husband of Mary and loving Dad of Sonya. Sadly missed by his wife, daughter, brothers Jimmy and Oliver (Mick), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces relatives and friends.

Reposing at this home (C15 X0E1) Saturday 15th July from 3.30pm until 8.00pm.  Removal on Sunday to The Church of The Assumption, Yellow Furze, Beauparc arriving for Requiem Mass at 11.00am.   Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.   House private on Sunday morning please.
