There were dramatic scenes in Navan last night as two teenage boys were arrested in Navan in the early hours of this morning following a report of suspicious activity in the Academy Street area at around 4am.
Responding Gardaí arrested the males aged 15 and 16, after a foot chase and recovered a stolen car at the scene. An unsuccessful attempt was made to steal a second car which was parked on the street.
The Garda Air Support Unit assisted in tracking and arresting the suspects.
Both are currently detained at Navan Garda Station.
