A taxi driver was assaulted in Navan after a passenger became aggressive over the cost of a fare,

The incident happened inside the last two weeks.

A source told Meath Live, ‘The driver took an early morning fare to Johnstown and the passenger initially queried the fare and then refused to get out of the car.

‘He snatched the keys from the ignition and when the driver attempted to retrieve them he was assaulted.’

Navan Gardai are investigating.
