Uisce Éireann is advising customers in Trim and the surrounding areas that essential overnight restrictions will continue over the weekend  to help the Brayhill and Summerhill Reservoir water levels recover.

It says the restrictions, from 10pm – 6am, are required due to a combination of factors including the poor raw water quality entering the plant due to the heavy rainfall and the continued high demand for water.

Customers may be affected in Trim, Knightsbrook, Scurlogstown, Effernock, Carberstown, Blackfriary, Crowpark, Clonbun, Rathmolyon, and surrounding areas.

It can take two to three hours following low pressure for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas as water refills the network.
