A man in his 30s voluntarily presented himself to Kells Garda station last night following a stabbing incident on Athboys Kildalkey road.
The incident which took place around 7.30 pm saw a man in his 20s sustain serious injuries which resulted in him being brought to the Mater Hospital for treatment.
The suspect remains in Garda custody and investigations are ongoing.
