It’s now getting to the business end as we move into the autumn of the year when we will see theĀ
future Keeegan Cup Champions and Intermediate Champions crowned.
There are teams fighting to stay in the top flight and Intermediate will also get to give their respective
parishes something to cheer and look forward to staying up.
This is what it is all about and hoping to carry the cup aloft in your parish means a lot.
Tommy Dowd one of the all time stalwarts of gaelic football when asked what was his greatestĀ
sporting moments,he had no hesitatation in his answer. It was his beloved Dunderry lifting the
Keegan Cup in 1995, that says it all,pictured above with the Sam Maguire in 1996.
