Slane defender Alex Devin had an unfortunate start to the week of his first adult final.
Devin will line out for the Blues in the Junior B decider against Moynalty this Saturday, but on Wednesday morning at around 8.30 the driver of what is understood to be a light blue Volvo smashed into the back of Devin’s car as it was parked on Chapel Street in the village and as can be seen from the above photo badly damaged the back of it.
Alex’s dad Com told Meath Live, ‘To be fair to the driver he did leave a note with a name and number on it, but we can’t make out the name and the number appears not to be working.
‘I’d ask anyone who was in the area around that time and has any information to contact me on 087 2380059 or if the motorist involved reads this then I would ask them to get in touch,
‘Hopefully the week ends better than it started for him.’
