Patricia Breslin, Barristown, Slane, Co. Meath passed away on 6th November 2023. Peacefully in Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Her requiem mass was held today Friday, 1oth November at 11am in St Patrick’s Church, Slane.

There was a large turnout of family, friend’s and former work  colleagues of the well known lady who was the former Advertising Manager of The Drogheda Independent.

She excelled in her position and in her own indomitable manner was able to generate the advertising revenue needed to sustain the paper over the years before her retirement.

She had a personality to deal with all the challenges that confronted her and an ability to meet deadlines on time and on target.

In her personal life she enjoyed reading with a veracious appetite for learning. Her love of the horses and annual vacation to the Galway races never waned. She had a love of all sports, but local and national  GAA was a passion of hers.

Always glamorous, well dressed her niece, als0 Patricia captured the essence of the Patricia ‘…Her beauty, her style, her intelligence and her infectious laughter became known far and wide…” tells the story of a well respected aunt but also of the manner and esteem she was regarded by all whom she came to know.

Pre-deceased by her parents Joseph and Theresa and her loving partner Sean. Patricia, former employee of Drogheda Independent, will be  sadly missed by her loving sisters Maura, Sinead and Deirdre, brothers-in-law Kevin and Tony, her beloved nieces Gráinne and Aileen, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, extended family and friends.
