Dundalk Stadium is proud to announce its 20th anniversary since opening its doors
on the 29th of November 2003, opened by the then minister for sport John
O’Donoghue, Dundalk Stadium was born.
Since 2003, Dundalk Stadium has become the only all-weather racecourse in
Ireland, and one of the only dual-purpose racecourses in Europe. Racing both
horses and greyhounds, even on the same night. The Co. Louth venue has been
dedicated to offering customers the most unique and exhilarating experience, and
are delighted to be one of the main tourist’s attractions in the North East. The
management and staff are excited to celebrate this outstanding milestone.

Over the past two decades, the racecourse has grown and now boasts over 40
horse fixtures a year and two greyhound fixtures weekly. Jim Martin CEO of Dundalk
Stadium said “We are thrilled to have reached this exciting milestone. Our success is
a testament to the hard work and dedication of all the employees that have worked
at the racecourse over the past twenty years, as well as all the horse and greyhound
trainers, owners, jockeys, customers, sponsors and the public who has attended our
racecourse during that time.”

Horse racing will commence from approx. 3.20pm with a commemorative greyhound
