Kells councillor, Sean Drew has announced he will not be seeking re-election in the forthcoming local elections this coming June.

At the Kells Fianna Fáil Cumann meeting last night he informed members of his plans to stand down.

We understand he has notified head office of his intentions earlier today.

A well respected councillor he also held the position of  Cathaoirleach of Meath County Council two years ago.

Cllr Drew has been involved in local politics for over twenty years on the Kells Town Council from 2002 to 2014

and is currently a councillor with Meath County Council since 2014.
