Made in Dagenham will hit the stage next week as the cast finalise the last of many hours of rehearsals. Tickets are still available you can see the dates and time below.
The play is based on the 2010 film of the same name, Made in Dagenham. It is drawn from the real-life 1968 sewing machinists strike for equal pay for women at the Ford factory in Dagenham, Essex.
This uplifting musical comedy focuses on the leader of the strike, Rita O’Grady, as she encourages the women of the Ford factory to walk out after they are re-classified as unskilled workers, while their male counterparts see their wages increase.
Featuring a rousing score and hilarious characters, this heartfelt comedy performed by St. Mary’s Musical Society is not one to miss!
