Spirit Of Rugby Award for Navan RFC Volunteer
On Saturday last ,11th May, Navan RFC’s David Cullivan, was a guest of Leinster Rugby at the RDS before Leinster’s URC match against the Ospreys, for the presentation of the “Spirit of Rugby Award” that was given by awarded by the IRFU at the end of last season.
Before the Leinster V Ospreys game, David was presented with a unique certificate signed by IRFU Chief Executive Kevin Potts to honour their value to Irish Rugby by Leinster Branch President Billy Murphy.
The awards are an initiative of the IRFU to honour rugby volunteers and the values they uphold across the four provinces. Clubs and schools were invited to recognise one volunteer.

Navan RFC Player Awards Night
On Friday evening ,17th May, the Ardboyne Hotel hosted the Navan RFC Player Awards Night. This was a celebration of all the performances of all the senior teams across Navan Rugby Football Club over the course of the past year and achievements of individual players.
The club also remembered those no longer here with Zoe McAteer, widow of the late Men’s J3 XV player David McAteer, presented with a Match Ball signed by all the Men’s J3 XV players.
All players, coaches and managers attending had a great night to mark the end of the season with attention now turned to the Clubs Centenary Season in 2024/2025.
Special thanks to Nour Khairy, Sinead Hannon & Ray Hannon for the organisation of a successful awards night.
