As Nick Killian wraps up his canvass of the electorate before the good people of Meath go to

the ballots tomorrow. He spoke to Meath Live today giving us a  comment on the canvass.

In what he describes as a tough and challenging campaign he has encountered at the door.

” I want to thank the people I visited , they have been mannerly and good spirited to me.

I also have to acknowledge the honesty of the electorate. The issues which many have

raised in particular the water outages has been immense. There is also the realities that hard pressed families

are having to deal with also include housing and traffic congestion in Ratoath. We need also to consider the

need to improve childcare  and special needs in our area. The noise pollution from the airport is also a very bis issue and

we need to see that sorted out. People have been told me their feelings  and I take on board to deliver as best as I can.”

In 2019  Cllr Killian pulled 1549 first preference votes just 49 short of the quota (1598) making it in on the second count.

As an Independent, he relies on number 1’s on the ballot paper, as all the other independents will tell you too.
