A 49-year-old man with a Navan address who appeared at Trim District Court on assault charges has been sent for trial. Cornel Ghoerge, Dunville Meadows, Johnstown, Navan was charged with assault causing harm to two men at Watergate Street, Navan on 20th December last. He was also charged with being involved in violent disorder with two co-accused.
The court was told by Garda Bellamy that a book of evidence had already been served on the accused. Judge Eirinn McKiernan issued an alibi warning to the accused and then sent him forward for trial to Trim Circuit Court on 27th May next.
