Two men who appeared in court in Navan five days ago in connection with the seizure of drugs worth €5.3m were further remanded when they appeared at Trim District Court today. Joseph Sherry (61), Allagesh, Smithborough, Co Monaghan and Matthew Farrell (63), Lisagian, Kingscourt, Co Cavan had appeared before Judge Eirinn McKiernan at Navan charged with possession for sale or supply of heroin and cocaine at Leggagh, Castletown, Co Meath on 27th May.
Today at Trim District Court, again before Judge McKiernan, both men appeared by video link. Court Presenter Sergeant Paul McNally sought and was granted an application to have both men remanded in custody to the same court on 17th June next to await instructions from the Director of Public Prosecutions
