The community in Nobber is mourning the death of local man Jack McIlroy (25) who died in a workplace accident on Wednesday. The accident happened at a premises at Corgarry, Co Cavan. Emergency services attended the scene and Mr McIlroy was taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. The Health and Safety Authority has instigated an investigation into the incident and the coroner for Co Meath has been notified of the death.
The deceased man who is from Cluain Beag, Nobber is survived by his parents Alan and Deirdre and extended family and his friends in Electro Celtic FC. He will repose at his home today (Saturday) from 2-8pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Sunday at 11.15am at St John the Baptist Church with burial afterwards at the local cemetery.
