An infant boy is in a critical condition following a two car collision in Dundalk last night. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of the crash that occurred on the R132 at Dowdallshill, Dundalk, last night. The road was closed off on the approach roads with the town busy with Christmas revellers.
It is understood a female driver (20′) was removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda with non-life threatening injuries. An infant boy a passenger of the car, was removed to the Children’s University Hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
The male driver of the second vehicle, aged in his early 50s and the female passenger, a teenager were removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda with non-life threatening injuries. The R132 is currently closed and as Forensic Collision team investigate. Local diversions in place.
