Dundalk Football Club have confirmed that an agreement has been reached with English Championship club Norwich City for the transfer of Vinnie Leonard. Leonard began his football career with Torro Utd. The club said on its Facebook page ” is so proud of Vinnie’s journey to date and we are excited to see where the future takes him. We already know he wears yellow & green.”
Norwich City have signed Dundalk’s talented young defender Vinnie Leonard on a long term deal. Dundalk are set to receive around €650k up front fee + add ons, sell on fees etc. Leonard will stay with Dundalk until the summer at least.
Vinnie made his debut for Dundalk in February 2024 in the Leinster Senior Cup, and made his full league debut that October against Shamrock Rovers. He also represented Ireland in the Under-17 World Cup in Qatar last year.
