Colm Mac an tSionnaigh has recently announced his candidacy for Local Elections this June, with Independent Ireland Party,  that was established in November 2023.
Living in Athboy Co. Meath ,Colm Mac an tSionnaigh , a dedicated healthcare professional with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors, has announced his candidacy for Kells LEA in the upcoming local elections.

With a background in nursing and a passion for serving his community, Colm aims to bring integrity, accountability, and common-sense solutions to local governance.Mac an tSionnaigh obtained his nursing qualification in London in 2001 before returning to Ireland in 2008. He has since worked in various roles within the healthcare field, including sales, education, and direct patient care.

He is currently employed in a busy acute hospital in Dublin, Colm has witnessed firsthand the challenges facing Ireland’s healthcare system and is committed to advocating for improved access to services for all residents.
“In my opinion, the current political landscape does not adequately serve the interests of the Irish people,” said Mac an tSionnaigh . “Issues such as illegal immigration, rising living costs, and healthcare accessibility need to be addressed with practical solutions and genuine concern for the well-being of our communities.”
As a candidate for Independent Ireland, Colm has outlined key goals to address pressing issues within the Kells LEA and beyond. These goals include increasing the availability of social housing, improving infrastructure maintenance, enhancing access to healthcare services, prioritizing education, and advocating against burdensome stealth taxes and inappropriate placement of IPAS centers in rural communities.
“The values and mission of Independent Ireland strongly resonate with my own beliefs and principles,” Colm explained. “I am committed to serving as a voice for the people of Meath and will work tirelessly to promote transparency, accountability, and policies that benefit our community.”
