Leinster Paul Flood Women’s Cup – 2nd Round (Sunday 6th April)

Navan Women’s 1st XV continued their dominant form in Leinster rugby with a crushing 58-5 victory over Division 1 side Clondalkin, booking their place in the Paul Flood Cup Semi-Final. The Meath side ran in 10 tries, showing attacking flair and disciplined defence to overpower their Dublin hosts. It marks another major step in what’s already been a phenomenal season after winning the Leinster Women’s Division 2 league, with Navan now unbeaten in two years and chasing yet another trophy.
Best for Navan was Rosie Searle with a standout performance from the No. 8, leading from the front with physicality and precision. This team continues to set the standard for women’s rugby in Leinster, relentless, united, and hungry for more silverware.
The win sets up a home semi-final against this seasons Leinster Women’s Division 1 Champions, MU Barnhall next Sunday 13th April with a 3pm kick-off.

Leinster Paul Cusack Women’s Plate 1st Round (Sunday 6th April)

Navan Women’s 2nd XV renewed their fierce rivalry with Tipperary side Roscrea in a tightly contested Paul Cusack Plate 1st Round encounter. Despite a brave performance, the visitors edged out Navan with three tries to two, claiming a narrow 17-10 victory at Balreask
Old. While the result wasn’t in their favour, the Navan squad can hold their heads high. They’ve had an incredible season, finishing as back-to-back League Champions and earning promotion to Division 3, a massive achievement for this growing team.
Best for Navan was Tara Quinn, a standout at blindside flanker, Quinn delivered a commanding performance in defence and at the breakdown.
This Navan Women’s 2nd XV squad has shown incredible progress and heart. With promotion secured, they’ll be back even stronger next season, and their story is only just beginning.
