The Navan to Kells Road has now been reopened after being blocked for a number of hours following a two-vehicle collision.
A car and a jeep were in collision outside Bachelors Lodge house situated at Scallanstown about six kilometres from Navan. Gardai and a number of fire engines and ambulances attended the scene and the road was blocked from both directions for some hours. Local diversions were in place.  There were no fatalities and it is not known whether drivers or passengers were injured.Â
