Concerned residents of the Rathkenny parish and community have been circulated with a whatsup message to hold a meeting to see what can be done with Rathkenny NS building which closed suddenly due to lack of numbers of students and falling numbers at the national school. The meeting plans to set up a committee to see what can be done.
Meath Live spoke to Siorán Ní Neíll who wants everybody to come together ‘with respect for each other, courtesy, understanding and a compassion for a brighter future ahead” and to ”talk openly” to see what can be done ”to support the building that has so much to give” The meeting is scheduled for 8.00pm this evening ( Wednesday 3rd Sept,)
