The disposal by Meath County Council of a small piece of land at Donaghmore cemetery Navan to a local resident was discussed at the September meeting of Navan Municipal District. The land measuring 0.1523 hectare, part of the cemetery, is to be acquired by Michael McBride and this was agreed by the Navan councillors.
Director of Services Martin Murray said here was a parcel of land behind Mr McBride’s premises. The council was the registered owner of the land behind and was not the owner of the land between the graveyard and what the council owned. In discussion with the landowner the council had agreed to acquire “the extension to the car park”. It was part of a “tidy up” of the land in that area. The councillors unanimously agreed to the director’s proposal.
