The Director of Pubic Prosecutions has directed that a case involving the alleged possession of child abuse images is to go forward on indictment to Trim Circuit Court. The DPP also consented to the 62-year-old man who faces two charges being sent forward for sentencing on a signed plea of guilty , Trim District Court was told. Reporting restrictions applied in the case.
The matter was mentioned briefly in the district court and dealt with in camera. Judge Stephanie Coggans agreed to adjourn the case for a fortnight to 23 rd September to allow for the service of a book of evidence and she remanded the accused on bail to that date.
