Navan RFC hosted a Rugby World Cup Quarter-Final watch party at the clubhouse in Balreask Old on Saturday, as members and supporters gathered to watch Ireland take on France. The day began with an opening morning training session for players from Minis up to U14s, followed by the viewing event which brought together players, families and supporters from across the club. Ireland’s campaign came to a narrow and heartbreaking end against France, but the performance was hailed as an inspiring display that highlighted the growth of women’s rugby on the world stage. With the team now looking ahead to the 2029 Rugby World Cup in Australia, there was a strong sense of pride and optimism for the future.
