Two men in their 60s accused of possession of drugs for sale or supply in Meath earlier this year have been returned for trial at Trim Circuit Court next month. Matthew Farrell (64) Lisagoan, Kingscourt and Joseph Sherry (61), Allgesh, Smithboro, Co Monaghan each face a total of six charges including possession of diamorphine and cocaine for sale or supply at Leggagh, Castletown, Navan on 27 th May last.
Each accused has also been charged with possession of a Samsung mobile phone with high encryption intended for use in drug trafficking. Both were sent forward for trial to the circuit court on 21st October. Judge Eirinn McKiernan administered an alibi caution to the men who were then remanded in custody.
