Before noon today, Gareth Sheridan, failed to get the nomination from Councillors of Meath County Council to get his name on the ballot for the presidency. He had two nominations already and needed two more councils to give their support. He will not be getting it in county Meath.

The vote was 13 For, with 14 Against, five abstained, and eight absent. The motion failed. There were a number of candidates who addressed the chamber in person and a number who made zoom presentations. Sheridan was the only candidate proposed at the meeting.

More to follow.
