A 55-year-old Nigerian man who appeared at Trim District Court yesterday(Thursday  23/10/25) on money laundering charges has been sent for trial. Adewala Folerin, who formerly had an address at Dunloe Court, Navan was charged with engaging in transferring, handling, acquiring, and using property – €21,553 – suspected to be the proceeds of criminal activity at at Ptsb bank, Kennedy Road, Navan on 12th March 2019.

Detective Garda Kathryn Christie gave evidence of having served a book of evidence on the accused. Judge Stephanie Coggans issued an alibi warning to the accused and sent him forward for trial to Trim Circuit Court on 29 th October. On an application by defending solicitor Maurice Regan, Judge Coggans granted free legal aid in the form of a solicitor and one barrister.
