In a new departure from Rté, our national broadcaster, will now have services broadcast from the parishes of Ireland. Navan town parish is the benefactor of the first production with 11.00 o’clock mass today. It comes as part of the changes after 30 years from the studios at Donnybrook.
The decision has been welcomed by Archbishop Eamon Martin who thanked the broadcaster for its years of past programming adding, ” an example of service broadcasting at its best” as quoted on Rte by the Archbishop. As the church has witnessed dwindling congregations it is a welcome opportunity to showcase the many churches around the country and ” provide a richer more authentic experience for all concerned”
