A 26-year-old man who appeared at Navan District Court on theft charges has been ordered by a judge to stay out of certain Navan stores. Constantin Anton with an address at Tankardstown was charged with nine counts of theft at local stores including Holland and Barrett, Dunnes Stores at Navan Shopping  Centre, T K Maxx, Tesco at Clonmagadden and Tesco Navan on various dates in January, February, March and April this year.

Garda Lorna McNulty gave evidence of arrest. She said that accused made no reply when charges. She applied to Judge Ciaran Liddy for conditions attached to bail and these were granted. The accused was directed to sign on at a Garda station three times a week, be contactable by Gardai on a specified phone number and to stay out of all the named stores. He was remanded to appear at a future date at Trim District Court.
