A 48 year-old man from Meath was remanded on bail on two charges of sexual assault of a female. The accused is due to appear before Trim Circuit Criminal Court on Tuesday (May 5). He was served with a copy of the book of evidence prior to appearing before Trim District Court on Tuesday.
The offences are alleged to have occurred in December last in Meath. Judge Eirinn McKiernan imposed reporting restrictions. She assigned the accused under the legal aid scheme a solicitor Maurice Regan and a junior barrister, along with a senior barrister due she said to the seriousness of the charges.
