A 32 year-old man Artur Gadek with an address at Cill Foireann, Johnstown Village, Navan was returned for trial on Tuesday in respect of the alleged possession for sale or supply of cocaine and cannabis with a value of over €13,000. He was remanded on bail at the local district court to appear before Trim Circuit Criminal Court on Tuesday, February 24.

A member of the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau said he served a copy of the book of evidence on the accused. The accused is charged with a total of six offences, one for the money laundering of €5,870 at Cill Foireann, and five counts for separately the possession of cannabis and cocaine, and for possession of the two drugs for sale or supply and the same charge with the value of the drugs €13,000 or more.

The offences are alleged to have occurred on June 20 last year, with the find in respect of the drugs at Macetown, Navan, Judge Michael Connellan assigned Michael Hanahoe, solicitor and a junior counsel to the accused under the legal aid scheme. He also made an order for copies of interviews to be provided to the defence team. The Judge also warned the accused that he had 14 days to inform the state if he intended to rely on a defence of alibi.
