A 64-uear-old man has appeared at Trim District Court charged with unlawful possession of drugs for sale or supply. Matthew Farrell, Lisagoan, Kingscourt was charged with possession of drugs worth more than €13,000. Garda Paul Cullen gave evidence of having charged the accused. Defending barrister Paul Noctor told Judge Catherine Hayden that his client did not wish to apply for bail at this time. Mr Noctor made an application for disclosure of evidence and for free legal aid in the name of solicitor Tracy Horan.
Judge Hayden remanded the accused in custody to appear at the same court next week.
