President Michael D Higgins will visit Trim today to honour the achievements of the local Tidy Towns committee.
The President will unveil a plaque in recognition of the group’s volunteers after Trim won the country’s overall Tidiest Town award for 2022.
The event will take place at the town’s newly-opened cultural centre and library on High Street and will include a performance by some local cultural groups.
Members of the public are invited to line the route as the President’s motorcade passes through the town centre shortly before 12 noon.
Rolling road closures will be in place while the event itself is ticket only.
