Gardaí are currently investigating an incident of a single vehicle road traffic collision involving a motorcycle that occurred at about 8:40pm last night.
The incident occurred on the R154 Dublin Road from Trim.
The motorcyclist, a male in his 20s, was taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown to be treated for serious injuries.
The road remains closed at this time pending a technical examination by Forensic Collision Investigators.
