COUNTRY SINGER Erin Noone will be flying the flag for her native Meath when she appears on the new season of Glór Tíre. Erin will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of last year’s Meath entrant to Glór Tíre, Shannen Carroll, who made it to the 2024 Grand Final. Glór Tíre is the most successful and longest-running Country Music series on Irish television. Now in its 21st season, the show will be broadcast on Ireland’s national Irish language station, TG4.
The 2025 run will be aired in March and April, the opening four episodes will be recorded on 29th and 30th January in front of an audience of fans and dancers. At the recordings, Erin will sing solo and perform with her mentor for the series, Co Tyrone singer Cliona Hagan, one of the most popular names
in Irish Country. Erin will compete for the coveted title of Glór Tíre Country Music Champion 2025 against John Mullan (Derry/Tyrone), Marion Kelly (Limerick), Jack Larry (Donegal), Michaela Harkin (Donegal), Conor Owens (Fermanagh), Paddy Treacy (Fermanagh), and Jack Gladney (Carlow).
Glór Tíre will be presented by Aoife Ní Thuairisg. The resident judges will be Jó Ní Chéide, from RTÉ Raidio na Gaeltachta, and singer Caitriona Ní Shuilleabháin. Each week, they will be joined by guest judges.
The public is invited to attend the recording sessions and dance the night away with sets from Cliona Hagan and Mike Denver (January 29th) and David James and The Tumbling Paddies (January 30th).
