Over a hundred tractors participated in The Hatch Annual Tractor Run that was held on the May Bank Holiday this year. There was also an auction and raffle as part of the fund rasing and on the day. A framed Meath All Ireland jersey from the women’s success also helped swell the coffers with €4000 bid. There was plenty of spot prizes on offer too and great community support over tractor run. The busy committee have given to worthy charitable causes and this year it was decided the benefactors would be the local national schools in the locality.
The schools each received a cheque of €2438.30 and they were handed over to the following schools. They are Culmullen NS, Kilcloon NS, Moynalvey NS, Mulhussey NS and Rathregan NS.
Below are the pictures of the cheque presentations and the representatives of the national schools who collected them. The schools thanked everyone for their support and in particular The Hatchet and all the committee who put the work in to make the event the success it was.
