A 59-year-old man with a Co Meath address who appeared at Trim District Court on burglary and other charges has been sent for trial. Thomas McManus, Oak Grange, Castletown, Navan was charged with alleged burglary while armed with a hatchet, threat to damage property at that address, assault causing harm, and a threat top kill or cause harm to a man on 17th April last.
Garda Alan Shine gave evidence of having served a book of evidence on the accused who was then sent forward for trial to Trim Circuit Court on 21st October next. The accused was granted free legal aid in the form of a solicitor and two barristers.
