A judge has refused jurisdiction in the district court in a case in which a 25 year old man has been charged with alleged possession of drugs for sale or supply. Daniel Lain, Blackwater Court, Enfield appeared at Trim District Court charged with possession of cannabis for sale or supply at his address on 27th May last year. He was also charged with possession of cocaine for sale or supply on the same date and same location. The value of the drugs was said to be over €4,000.

Judge Shalom Binchy refused jurisdiction and directed that a book of evidence be prepared and she put the case back to 2nd September next.
