Navan RFC’s Men’s 3rd XV were edged out in a close contest at home to CYM on Saturday afternoon in Balreask Old. The visitors managed three tries to Navan’s two, with a series of penalty kicks keeping the hosts within striking distance throughout. Despite sustained pressure late in the game, Navan were unable to find the decisive score needed to turn the result in their favour. Number 8 Stuart Byrne delivered a standout performance, earning the Player of the Match, sponsored by The Central. Navan will look to bounce back when they travel to face Old Wesley on Saturday, 1st November.

Navan RFC’s Men’s 2nd Under-20 side were narrowly defeated by Greystones in a competitive encounter at Balreask Old on Sunday afternoon. Although Navan crossed the line for three tries to Greystones’ two, the visitors’ accuracy from the tee proved decisive as they capitalised on their penalty opportunities to claim the win. Blindsided flanker Colin Jordan stood out with a strong all-round performance, earning the Player of the Match, sponsored by The Central.
Navan will look to regroup ahead of their next fixture in two weeks’ time, when they travel to Belfield to face UCD on Sunday, 2nd November.

Navan RFC’s Women’s 1st XV claimed an impressive away win over Tullamore on Sunday, running in five tries to secure victory in Round 3 of the Leinster Women’s League Division 1. Full-back Maria Smith crossed for two tries, while winger Sophia Murdock delivered a standout performance, including a 90-metre solo effort from a collected cross-field kick to earn the Player of the Match, sponsored by The Central.
Scrum-half Alex Connor added Navan’s bonus-point try, showing sharp awareness to exploit a defensive gap, while Shona White rounded off the scoring in the second half. Tullamore responded with two tries of their own through strong forward play, but Navan’s defence and pace proved decisive. Navan now move up to second in the league table and will face Athy away on Sunday, 2nd November.

Navan RFC’s Women’s 2nd XV hosted Kilkenny 1st XV in Round 3 of the Leinster Women’s
League Division 3, falling 21–7 after a strong second-half display. Kilkenny opened the scoring early, running in three first-half tries to establish a commanding lead at the break. However, Navan regrouped after the restart, showing renewed determination in both attack and defence. Out-half Anna McGarry, named Player of the Match (sponsored by The Central), directed play effectively, with Tara Quinn and Kaetlin Wallace delivering standout performances in the pack. Full-back Rosie O’Neill was solid under pressure, confidently fielding Kilkenny’s kicking game, while Leanne O’Neill scored Navan’s only try following a well-worked phase, converted by McGarry.
Navan now take a deserved break before travelling to face Barnhall J1 on Sunday, 2nd November.

Navan RFC’s Women’s 3rd XV continued their Leinster League campaign with a hard-fought
encounter against Wanderers 1st XV in Dublin, ultimately falling 15–5.
In a match blending youth and experience, Navan worked tirelessly throughout. Lisa O’Neill,
named Player of the Match (sponsored by The Central), impressed with her athleticism and
work rate in the tighthead role.
Sophia FitzHerbert, earning her second cap, crossed for Navan’s only try after excellent
footwork and support play. Out-half Sarah Woodroofe controlled distribution well, while
Shannon Meade and Sarah White put in strong defensive efforts.
Wanderers led 10–5 late in the game before adding a final try to seal the result. Navan now
look ahead to their next fixture at home against Athy J1 on Sunday, 2nd November, where
they will aim to build on their performance.
